You’re invited to the Member Opening for OMCA’s newest exhibition! Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain navigates the braided histories of displacement, resistance, and resilience within Black American communities in Oakland and the East Bay. Through works from the OMCA permanent collection alongside new commissions by artist Adrian Burrell; architect Junio Grant with blinkLAB architecture; and the Archive of Urban Futures with Moms 4 Housing, the exhibition traces how Black communities have creatively resisted dispossession and reimagined spaces of home and belonging. Reserved tickets are highly encouraged but not required for Member Preview Hours.

Viernes Night at OMCA brings you an evening of rhythm, resistance, and creative expression! Experience a powerful live set from Frisco Pinay rapper, singer, and musician Amihan, whose unique blend of folk, hip-hop, and revolutionary chants channels stories of migration and solidarity. Performing alongside her band Diwa, a collective of Bay Area artists and organizers, Amihan’s music honors her Filipino roots and the collective fight for justice.

Vuelven los viernes por la noche en OMCA con Off the Grid, la fiesta semanal gratuita favorita de Oakland, de abril a octubre.
Reúnase con la familia, los amigos y la comunidad todos los viernes de 17:00 a 21:00 para disfrutar de música en directo, actividades prácticas, camiones de comida Off the Grid (OTG) y acceso nocturno a nuestras galerías y exposiciones especiales, con una entrada al Museo.

Año Nuevo Lunar
OMCA celebra el Año Nuevo Lunar y explora las conexiones compartidas entre las diversas culturas asiáticas del Área de la Bahía. Estos programas familiares incluirán ofertas virtuales y presenciales que celebran y honran las tradiciones del Año Nuevo Lunar a través de cuentos, actuaciones, actividades, demostraciones de cocina y mucho más. La OMCA ofrece un espacio para que nuestras comunidades AAPI se reúnan y se eleven mutuamente con círculos de curación tanto presenciales como virtuales.
