(OAKLAND, CA) 12月 6, 2017—The 59th annual White Elephant Sale, the biggest and best rummage sale in Northern California, returns to Oakland 三月 3 and 4, 2018. Shoppers will have early access to items during the Preview Sale, which takes place on 星期日, 一月 28 from 10 am to 4 pm. Proceeds from the Sale, which is organized and presented by the Oakland Museum Women’s Board, benefit the Oakland Museum of California. For the past three years, the Sale raised over $2 Million each year to support the Museum.
A range of quality used goods, including furniture, artwork, household items, china, sporting goods, fine jewelry, Asian collectibles, tools, music, books, vintage and contemporary clothing, will be sold in the 96,000-square-feet warehouse at 333 Lancaster Street. The event is made possible by donations from the public and with the help of more than 1,000 volunteers.
Now in its 59th year, the 2018 White Elephant Sale continues to create one of the most memorable shopping experiences in the West, offering an array of second-hand treasures perfect for collectors, art lovers, musicians, and anyone looking for a good deal on many remarkable items. Sale hours are from 10 am to 4 pm on 星期六, 三月 3 and 星期日, 三月 4. Admission is free.
Those looking for early access to the White Elephant Sale’s wealth of goods can attend the Preview Sale on 星期日, 一月 28 from 10 am to 4 pm. Preview Sale tickets are $15 in advance at the OMCA Store, $16 online through the WES website, and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance starting 12月 13. More information on how to purchase tickets can be found at WhiteElephantSale.org. Children under 12 are admitted free to the Preview Sale but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Shoppers are advised to arrive early and wear comfortable shoes. A complimentary shuttle service from the Fruitvale BART to the WES warehouse will be provided for the 一月 28 Preview Sale and on the 三月 3 and 4 White Elephant Sale days.

ABOUT THE OAKLAND MUSEUM WOMEN’S BOARD
The sole purpose of the Oakland Museum Women’s Board (OMWB), a dedicated group with 114 year-round members, has been to raise money to support the Oakland Museum of California acquisitions, exhibitions, educational programs, capital improvements, and more. Since 1959, the OMWB has contributed over $22 million to the Museum. With the help of a thousand dedicated volunteers, they work year-round to organize and present the White Elephant Sale held annually during the first weekend in 三月 which attracts shoppers from the Bay Area and beyond.
