Pacific Mambo Orchestra (PMO) is a Grammy Award-winning Latin big band from San Francisco that has become one of the leading forces in keeping the great mambo and Latin jazz orchestra tradition alive in the 21st century. Founded in 2010 by pianist Christian Tumalan and trumpeter Steffen Kuehn, the 19-piece ensemble gained international recognition after winning the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Tropical Latin Album with its debut release, launching the band onto major stages around the world. Combining the spirit of Tito Puente, Machito, and the classic mambo orchestras with bold original compositions and modern arrangements, PMO delivers explosive, high-energy performances marked by virtuoso musicianship and powerful big band sound. From major jazz festivals to concert halls across the United States, Europe, Canada, and Latin America, Pacific Mambo Orchestra has earned a reputation for unforgettable live shows that celebrate the past, present, and future of Latin big band music.
Dj Sizzle is an artist and producer based in California, where she splits her time between The Bay Area and Los Angeles. She is the co-founder and director of Cumbiaton, an intergenerational cultural movement that celebrates Afro-Latin culture, community, and self-expression.
