Together, they will take you through a musical journey: from medicinal music created with the acoustic ngoni, a traditional West African stringed instrument, to spoken word and prayerformance (prayer + performance) to conscious reggae and hip hop over booming beats.

About DJ Siyah

After falling in love with linguistics through music at the age of 5, Siyah Ndawela Mgoduka has been diving deep into a wide variety of music ever since. From Hip Hop and RnB, to Jazz and Neo Soul to House, Electro, Kwiato, and Future Kwaito, his hunt for music does not stop there. With a decade of DJ experience, Siyah Ndawela Mgoduka understands when it’s necessary to let “the plan” fade away once the mood takes over. His international travel and South African roots are undeniable as he takes you through a journey from the streets of Cape Town, to the nightclubs of Berlin, and the iconic backdrop of Brooklyn. Dare you to dance harder than he does.
