Join us for a healing music performance by Alexandra the Author in the Amphitheater.

Program Schedule: 

5–8 pm – Off the Grid Service

6–7  pm – Live music performance by Alexandra the Author (Amphitheater)

7– 9 pm – Music by DJ Durt (Amphitheater)

Enjoy an experience of sound vibrations and classical storytelling by Alexandra the Author at OMCA. Alexandra uses her love of the arts, awareness of healing, mental health, passion for sound singing and her fire for human rights to pursue her line of work. Her music purposely emotes soothing vibes and power. From finger snaps to piano taps, this artist mixes together soul, R&B, folk, classical piano and hip hop for a healing musical experience. 

Following their performance, enjoy music by DJ Durt 7 to 9 pm. 

About Alexandra the Author

Alexandra Henry known on stage as Alexandra The Author is a musical rarity in motion from Upstate NY, currently living in Santa Cruz. As an ear trained instrumentalist and vocalist, she’s deeply inspired by many different genres of music. Alexandra uses her love of the arts, awareness of healing, mental health, passion for sound singing and her fire for human rights to pursue her line of work. Using her synesthesia/ ADHD & PTSD creates a full story book to dive into when she brings her music to life. Her music purposely emotes soothing healing vibes and power. Her highest hope is just to be able to bring a brand new perspective forward in the hopes of helping heal for everyone. She’s currently in the studio working on her fourth album to be dropped in 2024. The final piece to a 3 piece project Heavy. Heavy, Chapter 1 is already out on all platforms and Chapter 2 drops this year.

About DJ Durt

DJ Durt is a queer party DJ with a love for creating femme and body-positive dance experiences. S/he is one of the founders and co-organizers of radical queer dance party “Ships in the Night.” Durt was born and raised in San Francisco and has been dj-ing for queers, sex workers and anyone else who will listen for over 20 years.
