This 10月 marks the final weeks for guests to experience Mildred Howard: Poetics of Memory before it closes on 10月 18, 2026. The exhibition’s closing weeks coincide with programming that celebrates Howard’s work and legacy as part of a broader moment of Black art and cultural history across the Bay Area.

This month, guests can connect with Howard’s work and legacy through programming including a special conversation with Howard and artist Adrian Burrell as part of MoAD Nexus Black Art Week, and a documentary screening and panel discussion of Memories in Motions: Selected Stories of Mildred Howard during 星期五 Nights at OMCA in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Black Panther Party.
