Gallery Facilitator

Role:

  • Welcome and orient school groups to in-gallery inquiry programs
  • Support student-driven exploration of galleries through facilitating inquiry and dialogue, in partnership with other volunteers, teachers, and museum staff. Help students make connections to their own lives through storytelling and culturally responsive education practices.

Schedule/Shifts:

  • Wed, Thur, Fri, 9 am-12 pm
  • Minimum two shifts per month

Training requirements:

  • OMCA volunteer orientation
  • Museums, Facilitation, and Belonging, 2 sessions on Zoom 
  • 5-week facilitator training series, typically offered each fall
