Día de Los Muertos

In collaboration with OMCA’s Día de los Muertos Committee, we honor Day of the Dead every October and November.

For the past 31 years, we have transformed our campus into a sacred space for our annual community celebration each October. This year’s celebration will take place Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 11 am to 4 pm. Subscribe to our email list to be the first to know when tickets go on sale!

Durante los últimos 31 años, cada mes de octubre hemos transformado nuestro campus en un lugar sagrado para nuestra celebración comunitaria anual. 32nd Annual Día de los Muertos Community Celebration

This fall, OMCA welcomes the community back for its 32nd annual Día de los Muertos Community Celebration, a vibrant day honoring the people, traditions, and stories that connect us across generations. Join the Día de los Muertos Committee for a procession that opens the celebration with music, movement, and a collective act of remembrance.

CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS AT OMCA

In collaboration with the Oakland Museum of California’s volunteer Día de los Muertos Committee, we transform our campus into a sacred space for our annual community celebration, which brings together people from Oakland and across the Bay Area. Visit OMCA every October to join in the celebration!

Learn more about In Remembrance of the Innocents, an ofrenda created for OMCA’s 30th annual Día de los Muertos celebration in 2024 in honor and remembrance of the world’s innocents who have lost their lives due to the current disastrous events caused by nature or humankind.
