Become an engineer for a night and celebrate California women pioneers in earthquake safety and architecture.

Program Schedule:

6–8 pm – Music by DJ Karlita (Amphitheater)

5:30–8 pm – Women in STEM | Earthquake Engineers: Quake & Shake (California Room, Lower Level)

Celebrate women in STEM at OMCA by learning about the California women pioneers in earthquake safety and architecture. Become an engineer for the evening by creating a building structure, testing its ability to survive an earthquake using shake tables, then taking what you’ve learned to make your structure stronger! Close out the evening in the California Gallery of History by learning about how earthquakes have impacted Californians for hundreds of years.
