This Friday, join us at OMCA for an unforgettable night featuring the vibrant sounds of MacArthur Maze! This East Bay hip-hop ensemble, led by DJ D Sharp, brings together five talented emcees and four producers to deliver a powerhouse performance full of organic Bay Area vibes.
In addition to the music, enjoy a lively dance lesson to get into the rhythm of the evening! DJ Benet will keep the energy high with his eclectic mix of genres, blending everything from hip-hop to experimental beats.
In addition to an outstanding event experience, Friday Nights at OMCA also offer guests a well-rounded gallery experience with Gallery Chats. Unlike the traditional museum tour, Gallery Chats invites visitors to chat, ask questions, and connect with our OMCA facilitators who combine content knowledge with lived experience to encourage meaningful dialogue and fresh interpretations of our exhibitions.
Explore OMCA’s stunning galleries, grab bites and drinks from Town Fare Café, and soak in the culture of the night. Don’t miss this vibrant celebration of music, dance, and community at OMCA’s Friday Nights!
Limited $10 flat rate parking for Friday Nights is available in the OMCA Garage until 10 pm. Learn more about getting to the museum.

About Friday Nights:
Gather with family, friends, and community every Friday at 5 pm for free live music and hands-on activities, Off the Grid food trucks, and late night access to our galleries and special exhibitions, with a Museum ticket.
Bring your own or grab dinner from any one of the 8 Off the Grid food trucks on 10th Street between Oak and Fallon Streets. Beer, wine, mixed and non-alcoholic drinks are available for sale. After grabbing a meal from a wide and weekly changing menu of culinary creations, head to the OMCA Garden where you’ll find picnic tables and blankets to enjoy your local eats. Play lawn and table games, enjoy weekly rotating Museum programming, and create new memories at one of the Town’s most treasured spaces right in the heart of Oakland.
No outside alcohol permitted. Performances are subject to change. Limited $10 flat rate parking for Friday Nights is available in the OMCA Garage until 10 pm.

Independent hip-hop ensemble and crew MacArthur Maze combine only the most organic Bay Area ingredients to create a powerhouse. Spearheaded by their tenured turntablist/producer, DJ D Sharp, Mac Maze is comprised of five emcees (Blvck Achilles, Champ Green, D.Bledsoe, Ian Kelly, & Roux Shankle) and four producers (DJ D Sharp, S. Kaminski, DJ Basta, & NOBL). Given the game and entrepreneurial spirit made famous in the Bay, MacArthur Maze has the makings of something uniquely special and necessary. While reality is the basis for their overarching themes, love and community are ever-present in their messaging and visuals. All members contributing their respective specialized talents at the highest levels creates a maze you’d be reluctant to want to find your way out of.
DJ Benet is a multifaceted talent, seamlessly blending the roles of a DJ, audio engineer, producer, director, and artist. With a diverse musical palette, he captivates audiences with his eclectic mix of genres. Renowned for his collaborative spirit, DJ Benet has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Mani Draper, Kevin Allen, Brookfield Duece, Caleborate, Passwordz, and Nef the Pharaoh, contributing his unique touch to their works. Additionally, he is a member of the band “The Whoadees.” With a passion for pushing boundaries and a commitment to excellence, DJ Benet continues to captivate audiences across the Bay.
