Guided Gallery Visit – Becoming California

Grades 4–8

How do people work together to shape a California that’s better for everyone? Investigate diverse experiences of migration, and explore the movements and people who have shaped the rich and dynamic story of California across centuries. Make connections between past stories and events and the issues that are important to you now.

This is not your typical museum tour! OMCA educators and volunteers will facilitate student-driven investigation of the galleries using program themes and inquiry routines. Students will have time to explore the gallery, before coming together at the end to share their findings.

Fee: $200 / $140 for OUSD / $100 for Title I
