Watersheds & Me Gallery Inquiry Lab
Watersheds & Me Onsite Gallery Inquiry Lab
How does a healthy watershed contribute to a healthy community?
Explore how we can all do our part to conserve water and protect California’s regional habitats in the Gallery of California Natural Sciences. Students will work together to investigate different California regions and observe what makes them similar and unique. Then, they’ll build an interactive watershed model and identify strategies to conserve water in their communities.
This is not your typical museum tour and workshop! In the gallery, OMCA educators and volunteers will facilitate student-driven investigation of the galleries using program themes and inquiry routines. Students will have time to explore the gallery, before coming together at the end to share their findings. Afterward, students will apply their ideas during a hands-on workshop.
