The 65th annual White Elephant Sale (WES), a Bay Area tradition and the largest rummage sale in Northern California, returns at the end of January and flows through February and the first week of March.

Organized by the Oakland Museum Women’s Board, the White Elephant Sale is the biggest annual fundraising event benefiting OMCA. The first opportunity to shop is at the Preview Sale on January 28, 10 am – 3 pm.

About The Oakland Museum Women’s Board

The White Elephant Sale is held annually in the Spring, attracting shoppers of all ages from the greater Bay Area and beyond.

The sole purpose of the Oakland Museum Women’s Board (OMWB), a dedicated group with 114 year-round members, has been to raise money to support the Oakland Museum of California acquisitions, exhibitions, educational programs, capital improvements, and more. Since 1959, the OMWB has contributed over $30 million to the Museum. With the help of a thousand dedicated volunteers, they work year round to organize and present the White Elephant Sale held annually during the Spring.
