Member Gallery Chats: California AAPI History

May 11 from 11:00 am 12:00 pm

Free for Members

This month’s Member Gallery Chat presents an opportunity to come share your questions and reflections on key moments in California Asian American history and explore how the causes and consequences of these events still reverberate today. What are the many ways Asian Americans have contributed to the “Becoming California” story? How might more Asian American stories be uplifted and heard?

Please join our knowledgeable and enthusiastic Member Gallery Chats facilitators this second Saturday, May 11 from 12 to 1 pm, for this special OMCA membership offering: California AAPI HIstory

Facilitator

Margaret Yee has been volunteering at OMCA since 2017, first as a History gallery docent and now as a School Programs and Gallery Chats Facilitator. A former high school teacher and museum educator, Margaret enjoys doing Gallery Chats because she loves the OMCA community and always learns something new from every conversation she has with a visitor.
