Fall Teacher Night

September 12 from 4:30 pm 7:00 pm

Free

TGIF! Here at OMCA, we recognize and want to celebrate the hard work that goes into the start of the school year. Head over to the Museum for our Fall Teacher Night and hang out and enjoy what OMCA has to offer—on us.

While you’re here, take part in an immersive journaling workshop with Meres-Sia Gabriel in OMCA’s newest exhibition, Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain, exploring self-care and reflection through the lens of the exhibition. Space is limited, so be sure to register in advance.

Wander the galleries with late-night access and check out special features such as Ancestral Visions: An Installation by Chelsea Ryoko Wong, speaking to fashion and personal history, and Students on Strike, an installation exploring the legacy of student activism at SF State. Download student and teacher guides for our exhibitions, and then head to the OMCA Garden to unwind with live music by Awesöme Orchestra featuring DIA LUNA, part of Friday Nights at OMCA.

Bring your team! This event is free for teachers—RSVP is only required for those attending the journaling workshop. The first 100 arrivals receive Off The Grid food truck and drink tickets.
