This June we are excited to uplift and continue OMCA’s collaboration with Vibemap and Visit Oakland through the ‘Oakland Summer Vibes Passport,’ an innovative digital initiative aimed at showcasing the vibrant cultural offerings of The Town and fostering community engagement.
The ‘Oakland Summer Vibes Passport’ is a digital platform that encourages both locals and tourists to explore the diverse attractions Oakland has to offer, including the Chabot Space and Science Center, Children’s Fairyland, the Oakland Zoo, and Oakland Roots and Soul Sports Club. Participants can download the Vibemap app to earn limited edition badges by engaging with each attraction, from visiting exhibits to exploring unique features like the Flamingo Habitat at the Oakland Zoo or the Gallery of California Natural Sciences at OMCA.
Having begun early May and set to run until August 31st, the ‘Oakland Summer Vibes Passport’ offers participants the chance to win a range of prizes, including behind-the-scenes experiences at the Oakland Zoo, field level seats to an Oakland Roots/Soul match, and memberships at OMCA and the Chabot Space and Science Center.

OMCA is participating in the Oakland Summer Vibes Passport, presented by Visit Oakland and powered by Vibemap. This one-of-a-kind experience will bring locals and tourists alike out on The Town this Summer. Participants will be incentivized to take advantage of the amazing experiences Oakland has to offer, with the chance to earn challenge points and win unique prizes.

Participating Oakland organizations include: Oakland Museum of California (OMCA), Oakland Roots and Soul Sports Club, Chabot Space & Science Center, Children’s Fairyland, Oakland Zoo, and Visit Oakland.
How do I participate?
To participate, download the Vibemap app on your smartphone, and setup a profile. Gain points and earn badges by sharing vibes and tips, saving and sharing locations, and checking in at participating spots on Vibemap!
How long is this happening?
Starting May 10th and continuing through the end of August 2024, we invite you to join the Oakland Summer Vibes Passport and use Vibemap to visit the city’s most iconic attractions.
How does it work?
Use Vibemap to explore Oakland’s best attractions and add vibes and tips, save and share places with friends, and check-in at your visited spots. The more you use Vibemap, the more “Challenge Points” you earn, increasing your chances of winning fantastic prizes.
What could I win?
