Fall Teacher Night

October 21, 2022 from 4:30 pm 7:00 pm

Free

Teachers around the Bay are invited for an evening of teacher inspiration and connection. Hear stories of the women of the Black Panther Party with former member and educator Ericka Huggins, and photographer Stephen Shames, who are celebrating the release of Comrade Sisters: Women of the Black Panther Party. Join Ericka and Stephen for a special teacher conversation at 5:30 pm to explore ways to uplift students and have honest conversations about our history, before they take the main stage for Friday Nights.

Bring your team, or make some new friends at neighboring schools. This event is free for teachers and chaperones. No RSVP required, but space for the teacher conversation with Ericka Huggins and Stephen Shames is limited.

During Friday Nights at OMCA with Off the Grid, from 5 to 9 pm, enjoy food trucks from Off the Grid, late-night gallery access, and music. Make sure to check out OMCA’s newest exhibitions Angela Davis–Seize The Time and Hella Feminist.
