Friday Nights at OMCA brings a fresh, genre-fluid sound to the Garden Stage as Bay Area singer-songwriter Victoria Datanagan leads DATANAGAN in an electric live performance of all-original music. Blending raw, melodic storytelling with a massive, danceable sound, the Filipina artist creates a communal and deeply alive experience that invites audiences to connect, move, and let loose.
Keeping the energy going, MAMA SAN takes over the Amphitheater with a genre-bending DJ set that seamlessly blends pop, R&B, house, queer anthems, and unexpected favorites. The Taiwanese-American DJ and event producer brings an unapologetically queer spirit and infectious energy to the dance floor, creating a soundtrack designed to unite the crowd all evening long.
Guests of all levels are also invited to learn K-pop choreography with Bay Area dancer Ronnie in a fun, beginner-friendly dance lesson. Also this Friday night, YOUth Decide will also be available in the OMCA Garden with voter registration and resources to help attendees get informed and engaged in the voting process.
Alongside an exceptional event experience, Friday Nights at OMCA also features Gallery Chats from 5:30–7:30 pm. Putting a twist on the traditional museum tour, Gallery Chats invite visitors to engage in meaningful conversations, share personal reflections, and explore new perspectives on the artwork, artifacts, and stories throughout OMCA’s galleries. Enthusiastic volunteer facilitators can be found floating between all of OMCA’s galleries, including its Great Hall Special Exhibitions, throughout the evening. Look for the blue “Let’s Chat” shirts to join the conversation. Gallery Chats are included with Museum admission.

Don’t miss the final weeks of Friday Nights at OMCA! As the days get shorter and fall settles in, Oakland’s favorite weekly block party—complete with Off the Grid food trucks—is wrapping up its current season with a bang. Join us for a few more festive fall evenings of music, community, food, and fun before Friday Nights takes a seasonal pause.
OMCA will continue to welcome visitors during regular Museum hours, with plenty to explore—including our latest special exhibition, BeHere/1942: A New Lens on Japanese Incarceration, and featured experiences like OMCA’s 32nd Annual Día de los Muertos Community Celebration. OMCA also offers a $10 flat-rate parking in the OMCA Garage until 10 pm. Please note that outside alcohol is not permitted, and event details and performances are subject to change. Please view our Garden Guidelines and Dog Policy.

Performer BIOS
DATANAGAN is the musical project of local FIlipina artist, Victoria Datanagan. Known for engaging live performances and a genre-fluid sound, DATANAGAN shifts effortlessly between immersive musical experience and full cathartic release. Backed by a rotating collective of musicians, her shows feel communal, vulnerable, and deeply alive.
Born and raised in the Bay, MAMA SAN is a Taiwanese-American DJ and event producer who’s shaking up San Francisco’s nightlife with electrifying sets and unapologetically queer parties. When they’re not lighting up the booth, MAMA SAN is behind some of the city’s staple queer nightlife events as co-founder of the sold out 360° queer rave QUEEN OUT, SF Sapphic Pride, Lez Wrestle, and founder of LESBEAUX.
Ronnie is a Bay Area dancer and K-pop instructor based at In the Groove Studios in Oakland. She is a member of Groobeu, the studio’s K-pop dance cover team, and is one of the rotating instructors for its Thursday night K-pop classes. She also dances with Groove Against the Machine, In the Groove’s competitive dance team, and loves creating a fun, welcoming environment where dancers of all levels can learn and enjoy K-pop choreography.
YOUth Decide is a committee within the League of Women Voters of Oakland organization. YOUth DECIDE’s (YD) purpose is to reach students, educate them in civics and the importance of voting, and register them to vote. YD helps teachers engage students using civic education resources.
