Grades K–8

Experience an interactive performance that celebrates the dreams and accomplishments of Black musicians and leaders. Oakland a cappella group SoVoSó will lead students on a musical journey through themes related to the experiences of the African American community. Students will discover how music is a way to communicate the challenges and hopes of Black people—past, present, and future.

Dates: February 14, 15, and 16 for grades K–3; February 21, 22, and 23 for grades 4–8

Times: 10 am and 11:30 am. Groups must arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled time.

Duration: 60 minutes

Fee: $200 / $140 for OUSD / $100 for Title I
