OAKLAND MUSEUM OF CALIFORNIA AWARDED NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS GRANT FOR 2013 EXHIBITION ON CONTEMPORARY CHINESE ARTIST HUNG LIU

The National Endowment for the Arts has awarded the Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) a grant of $25,000 to support the development of the forthcoming exhibition Summoning Ghosts: The Art of Hung Liu. On view March 16 through June 30, 2013, the exhibition, which is organized by OMCA Senior Curator of Art René de Guzman, will go on to a two-year national tour after premiering at OMCA. The Oakland Museum of California is one of 832 not-for-profit organizations recommended for a grant as part of the federal agency’s first round of fiscal year 2013 grants. In total, the Arts Endowment will distribute $23.3 million to support projects nationwide.
