DESCRIPTION:Friday Nights at OMCA with The Whoadees and Special Guests\n\n        \n    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n 10 am–2 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDon’t miss the 67th Annual White Elephant Sale’s Open Warehouse Days! Join us for this beloved Bay Area tradition and the largest rummage sale in Northern California.  \n\n\n\nBrowse without the crowds on select days between January 29 and February 21\, between 10 am and 2 pm. New merchandise will be added throughout the sale. Reserve your spot for $7 per day. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOpen Warehouse Days\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThursday\, January 29–Sunday\, February 1Wednesday\, February 4–Saturday\, February 7Wednesday\, February 11- Saturday. February 14Monday (Presidents Day)\, February 16Thursday\, February 19–Saturday\, February 21 \n\n\n\nShoppers with reservations will be admitted first. Walk-ins will be allowed to pay at the door as space permits\, starting at 11 am each day.  \n\n\n\nTickets are available online at whiteelephantsale.org. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImportant Info\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPay-at-the-door entry permitted after 11 am on Open Warehouse Days: As space allows\, on each Open Warehouse Day walk-in shoppers who have not pre-purchased tickets will be admitted inside starting at 11 am with the purchase of a $7 admission ticket.  \n\n\n\nFree admission for teachers: Current California pre-k to 12 teachers will be given free admission starting at 11 am.  A photo ID and proof of current status of employment will be required at entry. \n\n\n\nFree shopping hours available after 1 pm on Open Warehouse Days: As space allows\, shoppers will be welcome to enter the warehouse on Open Warehouse Days at no charge to shop until we close at 2 pm. \n\n\n\nFree shuttles from Fruitvale BART station: On all weekend Sale days\, and on Monday\, February 16 (Presidents’ Day)\, shoppers can take a shuttle to and from BART instead of searching for parking\, which is limited.\n\n\n\n\nFor the health and safety of our volunteer workers and our patrons\, we must impose the following restrictions:  \n\n\n\n\nNo children under 12 (including infants in front carriers) will be allowed. \n\n\n\nOnly service animals are permitted in the warehouse. As defined by the ADA\, a service animal is an animal that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for persons with disabilities. Animals that solely provide companionship\, comfort\, or emotional support are not considered service animals and will not be allowed in the warehouse.\n\n\n\nNo food or drinks (except water) inside the warehouse. \n\n\n\n\nBackpacks and shopping carts are not permitted in the warehouse and must be checked in at the door before entry.  \n\n\n\nThis is a cashless event.  All transactions must be made by credit/debit card or Apple Pay.  \n\n\n\nAll sales are final.  No refunds. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLEARN MORE & GET TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Oakland Museum Women’s Board\n\n\n\nThe sole mission of The Oakland Museum Women’s Board (OMWB) is to raise money to support the Oakland Museum of California’s acquisitions\, exhibitions\, educational programs\, capital improvements\, and more. Since 1959\, the OMWB has contributed nearly $34 million to the Museum. Start with Crochet Jam\, a relaxed\, no-rules finger-knitting experience rooted in African American weaving traditions\, where you can weave\, chat\, and unwind at your own pace. In the same gallery\, lose yourself in the meditative sounds of Mia Pixley\, whose cello\, voice\, and spoken word combine classical and experimental influences to create stirring\, transformative melodies. All the while\, DJ Mark DiVita fills Town Fare with eclectic beats\, setting a vibrant and inviting atmosphere with cocktails\, bites\, and mingling among new friends or old. \n\n\n\nIn addition\, every ThursDates at OMCA offers a rich gallery experience with Gallery Chats from 5:30–7:30 pm. Unlike traditional tours\, these conversations invite you to ask questions\, share perspectives\, and engage with OMCA facilitators who blend content expertise with lived experience. Gallery Chats take place in our Special Exhibitions and our Galleries of California Art and History\, and are included with Museum and Special Exhibition admission. Mia enjoys exploring the resonance between ourselves\, the natural world\, and the underworld. She has performed on GRAMMY award-winning records and alongside GRAMMY award-winning artists on stage. Mia delights in interdisciplinary exploration and discovery of all kinds. Her sound can be described as Abbey Lincoln\, meets Esperanza Spalding\, meets Laurie Anderson. \n\n				\n				\n            \n\n        \n\n    \n	\n        \n            \n\n			\n            \n				\n				                    About Ramekon O’Arwisters\n				\n				                    Sculptor and meditation instructor\, Ramekon O’Arwisters explores the impact of art and spirituality on issues of social justice\, race\, and culture. In 2012\, Ramekon founded Crochet Jam (crochetjam.com)\, a community art event steeped in the African-American tradition of weaving in a calm and non-judgmental environment without rules or limitations. \n\n				\n				\n            \n\n        \n\n    \n	\n        \n            \n\n			\n            \n				\n				                    About DJ Mark DiVita\n				\n				                    Renowned across the Bay Area\, DJ Mark DiVita has carved a niche as the go-to DJ for events that radiate soulful\, sexy\, and vibrant energy.
