What are the many ways Asian Americans have contributed to the “Becoming California” story in OMCA’s Gallery of California History? How might more Asian American stories be uplifted and heard? Come join the conversation in this month’s Member Gallery Chat with Margaret Yee. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBECOME A MEMBER\n\n\n\n\nPlease note that tour spots are limited. A sign up sheet will be available at the Ticketing Desk when checking in so get here early to grab your spot! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFacilitator\n\n\n\n\n\nMargaret Yee has been volunteering at OMCA since 2017\, first as a History gallery docent and now as a School Programs and Gallery Chats Facilitator. A former high school teacher and museum educator\, Margaret enjoys doing Gallery Chats because she loves the OMCA community and always learns something new from every conversation she has with a visitor. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccessibility\n\n\n\nOakland Museum of California (OMCA) is committed to providing programs that are accessible\, welcoming\, and inclusive of our community. DESCRIPTION:Spotlight Sundays: Earthseed Screening with People’s Kitchen Collective and Emory Douglas\n\n        \n    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for Gallery Chats\, an opportunity to chat with and ask questions of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable OMCA Facilitators. Gallery Chats put a twist on the traditional museum tour by encouraging meaningful conversations and fresh interpretations to connect with the artwork\, artifacts\, and stories in our galleries. \n\n\n\nGallery Chats take place in our Special Exhibitions and our Galleries of California Art\, History\, and Natural Sciences every Saturday from 1 to 3 pm and are included with Museum and Special Exhibition admission. No reservation necessary. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGET MUSEUM ADMISSION TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOMCA Members have access to special Member Tours every second Saturday of the month from noon to 1 pm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccessibility\n\n\n\nOakland Museum of California (OMCA) is committed to providing programs that are accessible\, welcoming\, and inclusive of our community.
