Timed Ticketing FAQ



Timed entry helps to ensure that all visitors enjoy their No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man experience at OMCA. You should plan to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance of your entry time to redeem your timed ticket reservation. If your assigned time is 11 am, you may enter at that time when the Museum opens. Early entry is prohibited.

Yes! Timed ticketing for No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man is required. We encourage visitors to purchase tickets online in advance, as dates and times will sell out for this popular exhibition. Tickets are available online now.

Yes! Members should reserve tickets in advance for guaranteed timed entry. Reserve your tickets online as dates and time slots do sell out. Members may reserve the maximum number of tickets per their Membership level in advance.

Your ticket does not allow all-day access to No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man. Your timed ticket is a one-time entry to the special exhibition at the time allotted. Reentry is not permitted for No Spectators. However, you may visit OMCA’s galleries of California Art, History, and Natural Sciences at any time during business hours.

All exhibition volunteers should check-in at the Docent Center, located on Level 1 of the Museum near the Gallery of California Natural Sciences.

Public tours are available with special exhibition admission each Sunday at noon. Once you have purchased your ticket for the noon time slot, please meet your Docent inside of the exhibition. Attendance is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Onsite ticketing lines are often busy. We suggest visitors come early to reserve timed tickets, as day-of tickets can sell out quickly. Timed tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Yes! Children ages 8 and under are free; all children require a timed ticket for admission.

Please check in with the ticketing desk upon arrival. You are welcome to enter the exhibition within one hour of the time on your ticket.
