OMCA Updates

OMCA is Temporarily Closed Through Tuesday, April 7
Update: Monday, March 16, 2020

In light of new shelter-in-place recommendations through April 7 for six Bay Area counties, including Alameda County, the Oakland Museum of California will suspend operations through Tuesday, April 7. All programming and events scheduled during this time, including our weekly Friday Nights at OMCA block party, will be canceled.

The Museum has no known cases of the virus currently among its staff, visitors, or volunteers. However, as a community gathering place for people of all ages, we have determined that additional measures are required to ensure the safety of the OMCA family and the public at large.

Visitors who have purchased tickets in advance online between March 13 and April 7 will be refunded in full back to the card you used to purchase your tickets. If you have any questions or if you don’t see a refund of your tickets by March 20, please contact visitor@museumca.org, and all schools and groups with scheduled tours may reschedule for a future date by contacting groups@museumca.org

We will be providing regular updates via the Museum website, social media, and e-mail. If you have any immediate questions, please contact communications@museumca.org.

We wish you all health and safety during this difficult and uncertain time. For more information about the latest COVID-19 guidelines, please visit the World Health Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Alameda County Public Health Department websites

Take good care,

OMCA
