First Sundays at OMCA

First Sundays at OMCA

Spend your Sunday with us and find out why East Bay Express calls OMCA “the best museum for the people, by the people.” Every first Sunday of the month, enjoy admission to OMCA with a suggested donation of $5 for general admission. There is a $6 charge for special exhibitions in the Great Hall.

» Reserve for Sept. 4

Experience all that our Galleries of California Art, History, and Natural Sciences have to offer. This ticket also includes access to our new exhibition, Edith Heath: A Life in Clay. In between exploring the galleries, pick up some locally-made goods from our store, or relax outside in our updated garden spaces.

First Sunday tickets do not include entry to our special exhibition, Hella Feminist. A separate timed ticket is required.

We encourage visitors to reserve tickets online in advance to secure your preferred entry time and reduce your wait. Tickets are available at the admissions desk on a first-come, first-served basis. The suggested donation for general admission is $5 per person, and no one is turned away. Your voluntary contribution helps us provide access to other visitors in the community. OMCA offers additional admission discounts

Please review our updated COVID-19 Safety Information to plan your visit.

Busy Day Notice

We love welcoming you to First Sundays at OMCA--one of our most popular days with visitors. You may experience longer lines, busy galleries, and please consider allowing a little more time to find parking in our lot or on the street. Public transportation is always highly encouraged and we’re just a short block from the Lake Merritt BART station.
