DESCRIPTION:Friday Nights at OMCA\nSpecial Members Lounge\n\n        \n    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBecome an engineer for a night and celebrate California women pioneers in earthquake safety and architecture. \n\n\n\nProgram Schedule:  \n\n\n\n5–8 pm  – Off the Grid Service \n\n\n\n6–8 pm  – Music by DJ Karlita (Amphitheater) \n\n\n\n5:30–8 pm  – Women in STEM | Earthquake Engineers: Quake & Shake (California Room\, Lower Level) \n\n\n\nCelebrate women in STEM at OMCA by learning about the California women pioneers in earthquake safety and architecture. Become an engineer for the evening by creating a building structure\, testing its ability to survive an earthquake using shake tables\, then taking what you’ve learned to make your structure stronger! Close out the evening in the California Gallery of History by learning about how earthquakes have impacted Californians for hundreds of years. \n\n\n\nAccessibility  \n\n\n\nThe Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) is committed to providing programs that are accessible\, welcoming\, and inclusive of our community. Assistive listening devices and wheelchairs are available for checkout on a first come\, first served basis at the Ticketing Desk.
