Saturday, February 1, 2014 - 2:00pm

Come “geek out” at OMCA with this special lecture, 'Below the Bay,' focusing on the sustainability of estuaries, marine species, and fisheries. Join special guest lecturers Marilyn Latta, from the SF Bay Living Shorelines Project, Bruce Herbold of the US Environmental Protection Agency, and Jay Davis from the San Francisco Estuary Institute, as they discuss what’s impacting endangered species and fisheries in the San Francisco Bay and projects that help establish healthy and restored habitats. Embark on a deeper exploration of issues explored in the exhibition Above and Below: Stories From Our Changing Bay with this month’s Geek Out! lecture.

Before the talk, check out Blue Oak café's special menu for Bay Brunches at the Museum, featuring a special sustainable seafood menu with local ingredients and artisan sea salts.
