El Museo de Oakland de California anuncia los detalles del Winter Fest del 15 de diciembre de 2017

(OAKLAND, CA) 28 de noviembre de 2017-El Museo de California de Oakland anuncia los detalles de Winter Fest el 15 de diciembre, una celebración que explora las tradiciones de invierno de fin de año en el último Viernes Nights @ OMCA del año.

El evento reflejará las diversas tradiciones de invierno que se celebran en toda el área de la bahía, incluyendo Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Navidad, balinesa y festividades latinoamericanas. Disfrute de una entrada a mitad de precio, de una mayor oferta de actividades de temática invernal para los niños y de un programa especial de música y danza en directo a cargo de artistas locales.

Los visitantes podrán asistir a un espectáculo de danza y música balinesa a cargo de Conjunto Gamelan Sekar Jayay un evento musical especial creado por Thingamajigs. Únase a las actividades temáticas de Hanukkah con la Federación de la Comunidad Judía y el Fondo de Dotación, a la hora del cuento con la Biblioteca Pública de Oakland, y a la fabricación de velas para las vacaciones de su familia inspiradas en las tradiciones de Navidad, Hanukkah y Kwanzaa. Además, Chris Johnson, codirector de la obra de arte multimedia recientemente adquirida por la OMCA Puente de las preguntas: Black Males estará presente para firmar ejemplares de la publicación que acompaña al proyecto frente a la tienda de OMCA.

Winter Fest is presented in partnership with the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund, the Oakland Public Library, and the 20th Annual Music for People & Thingamajigs Festival.

ABOUT FRIDAY NIGHTS @ OMCA
The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) presents Viernes Nights @ OMCA, a regular evening series every Viernes from 5 to 9 pm, in partnership with Off the Grid: Lake Merritt @ OMCA—the first major food truck market in the East Bay. Viernes Nights @ OMCA features extended Museum hours, in-gallery programming, a beer garden from Blue Oak café, live music, dancing, hands-on family activities, and more. Gallery admission is half-off for adults, free for ages 18 and under. Event parking in the Museum garage is $7. VISITOR INFORMATION
Museum admission is $15.95 general; $10.95 seniors and students with valid ID, $6.95 youth ages 9 to 17, and free for children 8 and under and Members. There is a $4 charge in addition to general admission pricing for special exhibitions. OMCA offers onsite underground parking, with validation for Museum visitors, and is conveniently located one block from the Lake Merritt BART station, on the corner of 10th Street and Oak Street. The accessibility ramp is located at the new 1000 Oak Street main entrance. Regular hours are 11 am to 5 pm, Miércoles through Domingo, 11 am to 9 pm Fridays. museumca.org
