DESCRIPTION:Member Tours: Gallery Walk with Preparator Supervisor and Taxidermist\, Alicia Goode\n\n        \n    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMember Tours: Gallery Walk with Preparator Supervisor and Taxidermist\, Alicia Goode\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin Alicia Goode\, Preparator Supervisor and Taxidermist\, as she leads us on a tour of OMCA’s Gallery of California Natural Sciences. The tour will showcase the beautiful and intricate dioramas\, along with other displays and specimens she has helped to design and create for the Museum. This is a unique experience to learn from a professional taxidermist and museum preparator who oversees the maintenance of the permanent natural science exhibits at OMCA. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBECOME A MEMBER\n\n\n\n\nPlease note that tour spots are limited. A sign up sheet will be available at the Ticketing Desk when checking in so get here early to grab your spot! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFacilitator\n\n\n\n\n\nAlicia Goode is an award-winning wildlife artist and museum professional living in Oakland\, California. She has worked in the Natural History field since 1996 and has had an interest in the earth sciences from the time she was old enough to screw the lid on a jelly jar. Alicia has been working at the Oakland Museum of California since 2010\, where she leads preparation activities in the Gallery of California Natural Sciences\, as well as OMCA’s California Collections and Research Center. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccessibility\n\n\n\nOakland Museum of California (OMCA) is committed to providing programs that are accessible\, welcoming\, and inclusive of our community.
