Welcome back to campus for our new free program series “Lunchtime Sessions: Music, Dance, and Storytelling in the Garden.” Grab your favorite picnic blanket, bring your lunch, and join us as we come together to delight in the joy of live performance outside in our newly renovated garden. Lounge on the lawn, discover a new favorite artist, catch up with friends and family, and enjoy our picturesque garden setting during this brand new program series at OMCA.

Lunchtime Sessions are free and open to the public; tickets and reservations are not required. Food and beverages are not included. In order to maintain safety for all guests and staff, capacity may be limited. Please review our Safe Community Agreements in advance of your visit.

Limited food and beverage offerings are available in our cafe, Town Fare. We encourage you to bring your own lunch and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.

About This Week's Artists:

Bridging the Bay: Poet Laureates of Oakland and San Francisco in Conversation featuring Ayodele Nzinga & Tongo Eisen-Martin, with music by Mia Pixley
Co-produced in partnership with Nomadic Press

What does placing poetry alongside formal governmental structures do? How do poet laureates inform urban planning conversations around space and place and the woven culture therein.  How does poetry inform the boundaries of the possible? Join us for an evocative lunchtime discussion around all of this and more between two of the Bay Area’s preeminent Poet Laureates.

Co-produced in partnership with Nomadic Press Through publications, events, and active community participation, Nomadic Press collectively weaves together platforms for intentionally marginalized voices to take their rightful place within the world of the written and spoken word.
