Friday Nights at OMCA is back!
We’re welcoming the new year with the return of Friday Nights at OMCA, one of Oakland's favorite things to do! Get cozy inside with after-hours access to the Museum’s exhibitions and galleries, including fan-favorite No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man. Enjoy hands-on activities for kids, live music and dance from local performers, Off the Grid food trucks, and more. 

Have you heard that OMCA is undergoing a renovation in its 50th year? Learn all about it and stay tuned for updates to your Friday Nights at OMCA experience. Some areas may be temporarily impacted during construction.

Late Night Gallery Hours

5–9 pm: Galleries Open Late
Explore the Museum’s 110,000 square feet of gallery space until 9 pm, including exhibitions and activities for the whole family. Marvel at spectacular artwork from one of the most widely celebrated cultural events in the world at No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man.

Make tiny art and tiny tents for a tiny Black Rock city from balsa wood and other materials with Colin Fahrion, founder of Balsa Man, in conjunction with special exhibition No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man

5–9 pm: Off the Grid Food Trucks
10th Street
Enjoy a rotating lineup of local gourmet food trucks from Off the Grid.

5–9 pm: Blue Oak Beer Garden
Level 1
Enjoy beer and wine specials from local makers.

Kick back and relax with seating available on 10th Street, the 10th Street Amphitheater, Oak Street Plaza, the OMCA Gardens or café patio.

Directions

OMCA is located one block from the Lake Merritt BART Station. Event parking is available at the Museum for a $7 flat fee after 5 pm. The Museum's garage closes at 10 pm.

Food and drink are not allowed inside the galleries unless otherwise designated. No outside alcoholic drinks permitted. Enjoy drinks at the Blue Oak bars.
