Get cozy at OMCA this winter! As the days get shorter and the seasons change, OMCA invites you to bring your Friday Nights at OMCA fun inside this Winter Season. Find inspiration in a new artwork, connect with new and old friends, and kick off the weekend at one of Oakland’s favorite things to do every week.

Late Night Gallery Hours

5–9 pm: Galleries Open Late
Explore the Museum’s 110,000 square feet of gallery space until 9 pm, including exhibitions and activities for the whole family.

Let your inner artist loose with this family friendly craft. Create a mini sculpture inspired by special exhibition No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man, on view through February 16, 2020.

Enjoy a rotating lineup of local gourmet food trucks from Off the Grid.

Level 1
Enjoy beer and wine specials from local makers.

Kick back and relax with seating available on 10th Street, the 10th Street Amphitheater, Oak Street Plaza, the OMCA Gardens or café patio.

Shop Bay Area Artists and More

5–9 pm: Marketplace at OMCA Crucible Takeover
Level 1 Lobby
Join us for an evening celebrating the industrial arts from West Oakland's own Crucible. Shop ceramics, jewelry, glass blown artwork, and more. The Crucible has grown to become the largest nonprofit industrial arts education facility in the United States.

Level 2
Discover great California-themed gifts by local artisans, our broad book selection, find exhibition-themed favorites, and more. 

 


 

Directions

OMCA is located one block from the Lake Merritt BART Station. Event parking is available at the Museum for a $7 flat fee after 5 pm. Museum garage closes at 11 pm.

Food and drink are not allowed inside the galleries unless otherwise designated. No outside alcoholic drinks permitted. Enjoy drinks at the Blue Oak bars.
