While the infamous holiday is known more for certain recreational activities, this year on April 20—also known internationally as “4:20”—OMCA offers visitors the chance to see the new exhibition Altered State: Marijuana in California for only $4.20.

Whether you support it, smoke it, abhor it, or ignore it, there’s no doubt that marijuana holds a special—and evolving—place in California’s history. Set against the backdrop of a possible ballot measure in 2016 to legalize marijuana’s adult use, the exhibition features artwork, political documents and posters, scientific displays, and interactives all meant to stimulate questions and conversations about this provocative plant.

So, if a gathering at Hippie Hill in Golden Gate Park isn’t your thing on 4:20, come to OMCA to take part in a high-minded conversation about how marijuana impacts your world.

No reservations necessary. All ages welcome. Admission for Members is always free.
