The Heritage Society

Friends, members and volunteers who make legacy gifts to the museum from their estate plans play a key role in the fiscal stability of the museum. Their gifts build the endowment, a perpetual fund whose income provides essential financial support for all aspects of the museum. We recognize the commitment of these visionary donors by extending them membership in the Heritage Society of the Oakland Museum of California.

Heritage Society members are recognized in the publications of the museum (with their permission) and receive special invitations to events and activities.
