(Oakland, CA)—Sarah A. Kimmerle has been appointed Individual Giving Manager for the Oakland Museum of California and will work with the 45-year-old Museum’s growing community of donors to maximize public support for its programs, exhibitions, education, and outreach.

Kimmerle’s experience includes fundraising, museum education, public programs, and digital media positions with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the Exploratorium, and The New York Public Library. “Sarah brings well-rounded experience as well as new approaches to philanthropy,” says Maggie R. Pico, Director of the Resource and Enterprise Center of Oakland Museum of California. “These attributes are critical as we expand the Museum’s donor base. We are delighted that she has joined OMCA’s individual giving team.”

Individuals contributing $1,250 or more annually provide critical support for OMCA’s mission.  As part of the Donor Forum, this vital group of investors makes it possible for the Museum to fulfill its vision. In recognition of their generosity, Donor Forum members receive special benefits including priority invitations to previews and receptions as well as access to the award-winning Museum, its talented curators and scholars, and the innovative thinking that makes OMCA an outstanding personal and community resource.
