Oakland Museum of California Announces November/December Family Programs and Events

(OAKLAND, CA) October 3, 2013—The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) celebrates the holiday season with new family-friendly activities during the popular evening series Friday Nights @ OMCA, featuring half-off admission for adults and free admission for ages 18 and under! Friday Nights @ OMCA music lineups in November and December feature the ‘best of’ 2013 artists and festive holiday music from cultures around the world. Friday Nights family activities include traditional game-making workshops in celebration of Native American Heritage Month in November, and holiday ornament-making in December. Select Friday Nights also feature Storytime with the Oakland Public Library! Family-friendly workshops on select Sundays connect to OMCA’s winter exhibitions, with a miniature altar-making workshop inspired by The Tree of Life and Death: Días de los Muertos 2013 on November 10, and a LEGO design workshop inspired by Above and Below: Stories From Our Changing Bay on December 8.
