Much-Anticipated White Elephant Sale Returns for its 60th Year March 2 & 3, 2019; Preview Sale Held Jan. 27, 2019

(OAKLAND, CA) December 10, 2018—The White Elephant Sale (WES), an annual Bay Area tradition and the biggest and best rummage sale in Northern California, returns to Oakland March 2 and 3, 2019, marking the event’s 60th year. Shoppers will have early access to items during the Preview Sale, which takes place on Sunday, January 27 from 10 am to 4 pm

For the past four years, the Sale raised over $2 Million each year to support the Oakland Museum of California. Proceeds from the Sale, which is organized and presented by the Oakland Museum Women’s Board, benefit the Oakland Museum of California’s programming and exhibitions.

During the Preview Sale and the regular Sale dates, a range of quality used goods, including furniture, artwork, household items, china, sporting goods, fine jewelry, Asian collectibles, tools, music, books, vintage and contemporary clothing, will be sold in the 96,000-square-feet warehouse at 333 Lancaster Street.
