SAN FRANCISCO BAY

When we went on the Marine Sciences Institute boat trip, we learned about the animals that live in San Francisco Bay. First, we all put our life jackets on.
We talked about what we might find and some of the ways scientists collect data on the bay.
Then, we got to do some scientific collecting ourselves. We threw a trawling net behind the boat to see what we might catch.
After a while, we pulled the net in and found some fish!
This is Jasmin checking out and identifying one of the fish we caught.
We also analyzed mud from the bottom of the bay. Chaz says it tastes good!
From the smiles on our faces (and Malcolm's expression) you can tell this was a fun trip!
