When we went on the Marine Sciences Institute boat trip, we learned about the animals that live in San Francisco Bay. First, we all put our life jackets on. |

We talked about what we might find and some of the ways scientists collect data on the bay. |

Then, we got to do some scientific collecting ourselves. We threw a trawling net behind the boat to see what we might catch. |
 |
After a while, we pulled the net in and found some fish! |
 |
This is Jasmin checking out and identifying one of the fish we caught. |

We also analyzed mud from the bottom of the bay. Chaz says it tastes good! |

From the smiles on our faces (and Malcolm's expression) you can tell this was a fun trip! |
