White Elephant Sale

The annual White Elephant Sale will return on March 7 and 8, 2015.

333 Lancaster Street, Oakland (map)

Celebrating 55 years of exceptional success, the 2014 White Elephant Sale, Northern California’s biggest and best rummage sale, raised a record $1.88 million to benefit the Oakland Museum of California. Organized and presented by the Oakland Museum Women’s Board, the White Elephant Sale is made possible by donations from the public. The Sale takes place in a 96,000-square-foot warehouse site at 333 Lancaster Street, near the Oakland Estuary, with something for everyone, featuring an extensive offering of quality used men's, women’s and children’s clothing, jewelry, books, tools, furniture, household goods, sporting equipment and more.

Work on next year’s event, scheduled for March 7 and 8, 2015 has already begun. The White Elephant Sale accepts donations of gently used, good quality items year round. To donate, a van is available for free pick up by calling 510-839-5919, or bring donations to the warehouse during one of the public drop-off days:
