Teacher Workshop: Winged Ambassadors

Discover the charismatic and threatened ambassador for a clean ocean: the albatross. Through an introduction to curriculum materials, talks by seabird scientists, an exploration of the new Gallery of California Natural Sciences, and a full-day boat trip to the Farallon Islands led by a marine biologist, participants will engage in a thorough examination of literacy-related oceanic issues. Free for teachers K–12 teachers are eligible to receive a $40 stipend. Co-sponsored by the Cordell Marine Sanctuary Foundation and the Oakland Museum of California.
