Sunday, June 2, 2013 - 11:00am

Experience the entire Museum for the first time since completing its transformation—for free! Explore the just-reopened Gallery of California Natural Sciences, as well as the Galleries of California Art and California History. Catch the last day of the popular participatory, experimental exhibition we/customize, with an array of customized “art cars,” or personalized vehicles parked on Oak Street as a part of the closing celebrations. With Gold Panning and Garden Investigations from 12–3 pm, the entire Museum is open for a free exploration of the natural world. Check out the major retrospective exhibition Summoning Ghosts: The Art of Hung Liu and the captivating photographs of Beth Yarnelle Edwards: Suburban Dreams, both in their final months. Join the Architecture Tour at 1 pm or tour the Gallery of California Art at 2 pm. Enjoy the gardens, shop local at the OMCA Store, and grab lunch or a snack at Blue Oak café. Free First Sundays are made possible in part by Wells Fargo.
