Distinctly California | Bay Motion: Capturing San Francisco Bay on Film
Curator level Donor Forum members are invited to a special reception and conversation about Bay Motion: Capturing San Francisco Bay on Film, a video experience shaped by physical space, history, and the active presence of Museum visitors. Rare and archival film scenes from the Prelinger Archives show how the San Francisco Bay Area has been portrayed over the last century in amateur films, newsreels, industrial films, and other ephemeral works. Join guest curator Rick Prelinger to examine and celebrate the shifting physical and cultural landscapes of the Bay through film.
Distinctly California is a program series for donors at the Curator level and above that explores multiple perspectives on the state. In appreciation of the critical annual philanthropic support provided by these members, OMCA is pleased to make special opportunities like this available.
