Art Guild Day Trip | Art Guild Does Dogpatch

Friday, June 7, 2013 - 8:30am

An obscure right turn off Third Street south of AT&T Park, the Dogpatch neighborhood is a slice of San Francisco with a distinctive and colorful history. Today it is a neighborhood in transition with a diverse population, including many artists and creative professionals. Our trip features all the best parts of an arts and crafts day with a curator talk and docent tour of the newly opened Museum of Crafts and Design; visits to 1426 Minnesota, a working artists’ cooperative, and the artist-owned Gallery 16; lunch at the hip spot Radio Africa & Kitchen; and the private collection and home of noted San Francisco philanthropist Ann Hatch.
