Art Guild Annual Meeting and Talk | "Never Sorry": Jeff Kelley on Ai Weiwei

Monday, June 10, 2013, 9:30 am
Monday, June 10, 2013 - 9:30am

The Art Guild’s annual meeting features noted Bay Area art critic and independent curator Jeff Kelley as the guest speaker. Kelley, whose recent essay on celebrated Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei will be included in the catalog for the upcoming international Venice Biennale, will talk about the artist and the exposition of his work at the Biennale. This program is inspired by the Museum’s ongoing exhibition Summoning Ghosts: The Art of Hung Liu. Hung Liu is a contemporary of Ai Weiwei and the wife of our speaker. We’ll begin at 9:30 am with coffee, tea, and pastries at the Redwood Burl, and come together for the annual meeting and speaker in the James Moore Theater at 10:30.

There is no charge for this event for current Art Guild members, but to ensure a space, please RSVP by May 31 to suetierney1@netzero.com
