The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) is where Oakland—and the Bay Area—comes together to celebrate, network, and build community. Plan your next event at OMCA’s historic landmarked building, one of the most stunning examples of mid-century modernism in California by Pritzker prize-winning architect Kevin Roche. A museum that serves as a vibrant urban park and public space, OMCA welcomes the public to host events on its premises in order to expose our community to, and to promote an understanding of, California’s rich environment, cultural history, and creative expression through exhibitions, performances, and education.

All rental packages include gallery access. From the Galleries of California Art, History, and Natural Sciences to extensive garden terraces featuring outdoor public sculpture, you can build a personalized experience in spaces adaptable for customized learning and entertaining.

The best part? The Museum experience and visitor-centered spirit extends to our event services at every occasion with a warm touch of hospitality. Our staff is available to help you with your event from early planning through the day of the event. We offer a selection of onsite catering teams that not only provide gracious service and imaginative, California-inspired cuisine on the day of the event, but also strive to make the planning process as seamless as possible.
