The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) is at 1000 Oak Street, at 10th Street, in Oakland. OMCA is situated between downtown Oakland and Lake Merritt.

Parking
The entrance to the parking garage is on Oak Street between 10th and 12th streets. Parking fees are $1 per hour for Museum visitors with validation and $2.50 per hour without validation. Get your ticket validated at the Ticketing booth on Level 2 any time during your visit. The OMCA Garage offers $5 flat rate parking during some special events and during Friday Nights @ OMCA.

In addition to cash, the following credit cards are accepted upon leaving the garage: American Express, VISA, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club International, and JCB.

Disabled parking stalls and entrance to the Museum are on the main street level of the garage. An entrance ramp is located on Oak Street (adjacent to the stairs), and at 10th and Fallon Street.

Additional parking is available at the Alco Parking Garage located at 165 13th Street at Jackson Street. Hours are subject to availability.

By Car

From the Oakland Airport and South Bay:
Take 880 North into Oakland and exit at the Oak Street exit. Turn right on Oak Street and go four blocks to 10th Street. You’ll see OMCA on your right, at the intersection of Oak and 10th Streets.

From San Francisco:
Cross the Bay Bridge and take 580 East to 980 West/Downtown Oakland. Take the Jackson Street exit; you will be on 5th Street. Continue straight on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak Street). Turn left and continue on Oak to 10th Street.

From Walnut Creek, Orinda:
Take Highway 24 toward San Francisco and get on 980 West/Downtown Oakland. Take the Jackson Street exit (you will be on 5th Street). Continue straight on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak Street). Turn left and continue on Oak Street.

From Livermore, Pleasanton:
Take 580 West toward San Francisco and get on 980 West/Downtown Oakland. Take the Jackson Street exit (you will be on 5th Street). Continue straight on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak Street). Turn left and continue on Oak to 10th Street.

From Marin County:
Take the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to Highway 580 East. Continue on 580 East to 980 West/Downtown Oakland.Take the Jackson Street exit (you will be on 5th Street). Continue straight on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak Street). Turn left and continue on Oak Street.

From Berkeley and Sacramento:
Take Highway 80 to 580 East. Just past Emeryville take 580 to 980 West to the Jackson Street exit (you will be on 5th Street) Continue on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak), and turn left. Continue on Oak to 10th Street. Parking: Enter the Museum garage entrance on Oak Street between 10th and 12th streets. Parking is $1/hour for Museum visitors (with validation) and $2.50/hour without validation. Bring your ticket to the Ticketing booth on Level 2 for validation.

By BART
OMCA is conveniently located one block from the Lake Merritt BART station (between 8th and 9th streets at Oak Street). OMCA is at the corner of Oak and 10th Street. An accessibility ramp is located at the main entrance on Oak Street between 10th and 11th. By AC Transit
