The Museum’s community councils work with our Audience and Civic Engagement Center to support our mission to stay connected to the Bay Area’s many diverse communities.
The Teacher Advisory Council’s goals are to foster collaboration and learning among teachers and museum educators, to ensure that more Oakland teachers have access to our resources, and to improve museum resources for teachers and students.
Founded in 1971, the Council on Architecture supports the Museum and celebrates its exceptional architecture. Its members are interested in promoting greater understanding and appreciation of the built environment through architectural tours, exhibits, and lectures.
