Caves are important habitats, or homes, for many living things. Would you like to live in a cave? Here's what it's like...
  • Deep down in the cave, it is totally dark.
  • It is usually very damp and cool.
  • It is often quite quiet.
  • It is mostly the same.

Some animals are adapted to living in caves. They don't need light, they thrive on moisture and constant temperatures, and they seek out caves for protection from predators.
