This classroom curriculum is designed for
4-8 grade students to coincide with a visit to the Oakland Museum of California's
Caves Exhibition. It contains six classroom activities covering topics including:
cave formations, types of California caves, speleogenesis, bat ecology and cave
conservation. It includes a color poster of cave formations, a set of color overheads of
limestone cave formations, and Cave Story, a young reader's novel on caving. This packet can be purchased from the OMCa Education Department for $40. For more information call 510-238-3818. |
