Golden Gala 2010: A Golden State of Mind

May 8, 2010

The Oakland Museum of California's signature fundraising event supports the Museum's innovative and nationally recognized education programs. GOLDEN GALA 2010: A Golden State of Mind takes its inspiration from the reinvented experience and exciting new galleries that will be revealed to the public in May 2010, and celebrates the reopening of OMCA.

The Museum's gardens, terraces and galleries will create the backdrop for this stunning black-tie event. Guests will be welcomed by a festive mai tai reception featuring the original by Trader Vic's Oakland, with live entertainment provided by Times 4. An elegant dinner of California cuisine prepared by Barbara Llewellyn Catering follows, with a lively auction and dancing until midnight to the perennial favorite Wall Street. Guests may visit the newly renovated and reinstalled Galleries of California Art and California History throughout the evening.

Corporate sponsorships start at $5,000 and include a table for ten at the Gala, recognition on the event's invitation, in the dinner program, and on-site during the event, as well as an executive OMCA membership and invitation to an exclusive Gala Preview Party at Pixar Animation Studios.

Individual tickets start at $500. Individual table buyers and $1,000 Nugget ticket buyers will be included in printed material and receive an invitation to the exclusive Gala Preview Party at Pixar Animation Studios.

Tickets and tables may be purchased online. For more information please contact Joni Hess at jhess@museumca.org or 510-238-7425.

We look forward to seeing you there!
